I recently nominated the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum for the National Medal of Museum and Library Services and they were designated as a finalist. The Museum features the unique biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert and weaves together the ecology, culture, and history of our region. We interviewed representatives from the Desert Museum to learn more about their mission and what being a finalist meant for this beloved institution.
