Rep. Grijalva Votes to Ensure Results of Mueller Report Aren’t Hidden from American Public

WASHINGTON— Today, the House of Representatives voted on H. Con. Res. 24, and overwhelmingly supported releasing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election to the public. After voting for the resolution, Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva issued the following statement:

“As our increasingly unhinged President attacks the integrity of the Special Counsel’s investigation and its imminent findings via Twitter, the House of Representatives just took action to ensure that the American people know the findings of the Mueller probe and the involvement of the Trump Administration in any potential crimes. The allegations investigated by the Special Counsel are serious, criminal in nature and have resulted in numerous indictments, guilty pleas, and convictions. Every American must have the opportunity to view the report and ascertain the actions of this president and his administration, and Congress must be ready to take the necessary actions on any findings that implicate the President and his associates in criminal activities. This report is about the integrity of the highest office in our country. No one is above the law, including the President, and we will not allow him to bury his wrongdoings as he has done in the past.”

Rep. Grijalva has demanded the Mueller Report’s public release numerous times, most recently in a letter to Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Diane Feinstein (D-CA) during the confirmation hearing of Attorney General William Barr.
