Washington, D.C. – Hispanic Business Magazine released its Top 100 Influentials List for 2009.

This year’s Top 100 Influentials List has a special focus on Washington, D.C., reflecting the growing influence of U.S. Latinos in the nation’s capital.

Congressman Raúl M. Grijalva was recognized as one of the top political figures in Congress.

“I would like to thank Hispanic Business Magazine for this extraordinary honor,” said Grijalva. “I am proud of my work in Congress and I will continue not only to remain an advocate for the people of my district, but for all those who need a voice. I will continue the fight for the public option, comprehensive immigration reform, environmental justice and an accessible, affordable education for all students. I am honored to receive this distinction.”

The other 70 individuals were selected from corporate, information technology, health care, education, media and other areas.
