Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman Raúl M. Grijalva responded to CNN host Lou Dobbs recently reviving false accusations about the legitimacy of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate.

“It is disheartening to see a news network giving legitimacy to what should be a non-story,” said Grijalva. “President Obama posted his birth certificate online during the campaign. The fact that a certain segment of the country still refuses to believe him does not make this conspiracy theory any less ridiculous now than it was last year. Lou Dobbs and those like him, should concentrate on issues that actually concern the American people like health care reform, the economy, and the environment.”
