Granting Agency: Department of Housing and Urban Development
Amount: $5,597,524 (Community Development Block Grant), $271,983 (Emergency Shelter Grant), $3,912,311 (low-income assistance HOME grant), $453,761 (Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS)
Purpose: The Development Block Grant helps local officials provide decent housing and livable community space for low- and middle-income families. The ESG helps build and improve emergency homeless shelters. The HOME program expands housing availability for low- and very low-income families. The HOPWA program helps ensure housing availability for people diagnosed as AIDS or HIV positive.

Recipient: Yuma County Airport Authority
Granting Agency: Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration
Amount: $3,799,602
Purpose: The grant will fund the construction of the Aviation Industrial Center, a multi-tenant aircraft maintenance and aviation technology office complex in Yuma. The new facility will be used for avionic research and development and will help attract businesses in the aerospace industry to the Yuma Airport.

Amount: Variable
Purpose: Provide needed financial support to firefighters around the country.
Facts: The FY 2011 DHS Appropriations Act provides $404,190,000 for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.
