Purpose: This project was selected on a competitive basis through the State of Good Repair Program. It will replace 14 buses that have been in active service for up to 18 years, exceeding the projected 12-year life span of most comparable vehicles. It will contribute to the financial effectiveness of the system by reducing maintenance costs and update security systems, fare collection equipment and other hardware.

Purpose: CDBG funds are given to states and local governments annually to help provide decent housing and expand economic chances for low- and middle-income in urban communities. ESG funds provide annual grants to state, local and private entities to improve the quality and number of emergency homeless shelters. The HOME program expands affordable housing to low-income families. The HOPWA program provides housing assistance for low-income people who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and their families.

Purpose: Providing four two-day institutes on: (1) Legal and Victim Advocacy for Special Needs Victims (e.g., victims who suffer from severe mental illness and victims of sexual assault who are developmentally disabled); (2) Qualifying and Testifying as an Expert Witness in Tribal, State, and Federal Courts; (3) Effective Legal Advocacy Services for American Indian and Alaska Native Victims of Sexual Assault and/or Domestic Violence Who have a History of Trafficking, Substance Abuse, and/or Alcohol Abuse; and (4) Collecting and Preserving Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence for Use in the Prosecution of Sexual Assault Crimes.

Purpose: Part of $224 million in grants nationwide to help at-risk families voluntarily receive home visits from nurses and social workers to improve maternal and child health, child development, school readiness, economic self-sufficiency, and child abuse prevention.  As part of the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program, these grants are funded by the Affordable Care Act and are awarded to state agencies that applied for the grants in 49 states across the country.
