Grijalva and Progressive Caucus to Meet with President Obama

Washington, D.C.—On Tuesday, April 28, Congressman Raúl M. Grijalva and members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC), will meet with President Barack Obama for a discussion on health care reform and funding in the supplemental spending package for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“The Progressive Caucus is committed to passing comprehensive health care reform, one that includes a public health insurance plan option like Medicare, which will guarantee quality, affordable health coverage to all,” said Grijalva. “We also want to know the status of the supplemental spending package and the policies it outlines for Iraq and Afghanistan. As Co-Chair of the Progressive Caucus, I look forward to meeting with the President on these issues.”

The Congressional Progressive Caucus was established in the U.S. House of Representatives in the early 1990s. For more information, please to go http://cpc.grijalva.house.gov.
