Washington, DC – Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva today announced his sponsorship of an educational event to promote information about foster care. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Dec. 12 at the Tucson Children’s Museum at 200 S. 6th Ave.

More than a dozen groups will be staffing tables at the event, sharing a variety of resources and information for new foster families and families considering adopting a foster child. The museum will be open free of charge during those hours.

Rep. Grijalva will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. at the Museum to discuss the importance of foster care and family services, where he will deliver an update on pending legislation in Congress.
