Grijalva Congratulates Amphi High School’s Jose Coronado on Selection as Winner of So. Ariz. 2013 Congressional Art Competition

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva has selected “Diffused Delicacy,” a digital photography piece by Amphi High School’s Jose Coronado, as the winner of the 2013 Congressional Art Competition from Arizona’s Third Congressional District. Jose’s artwork will be displayed in the Cannon Corridor of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., throughout the following year.

Jose is a junior at Amphi in Tucson. “Diffused Delicacy” was his response to a ‘simplicity in photography’ assignment given by a teacher last August.

Jose will fly to Washingtonfor the first time in his life later this yearfor the June 26 awards reception. He will be joined by his mother Maria Barrios de Coronado.

Jose has asked for privacy and hopes media requests will be directed to Rep. Grijalva’s office. For more information and to view his and other submissions, visit http://grijalva.house.gov/congressional-art-competition/.
