Grijalva to Discuss Economic Recovery Package at Tucson Office, February 14

Tucson, AZ— On Arizona’s 97th birthday, U.S. Congressman Raúl M. Grijalva will hold a press conference to discuss how the economic recovery package will help Southern Arizona in the coming year at his Tucson District office on Saturday, February 14, 2009.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will save and create jobs, get our economy moving again, and transform it for long-term growth and stability. The package will create and save 3 to 5 million jobs, help make America more globally competitive and energy independent and give 95 percent of American workers an immediate tax cut.

This legislation is designed to revitalize our economy and is expected to be signed into law soon by President Obama.

Congressman Grijalva will provide an overview of the recovery bill funding and how it will impact Arizona.
