Grijalva Welcomes Local Participants In The 2011 Congressional Art Competition to Event at Tucson District Office This Afternoon

Tucson, Ariz.– Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva is hosting an event at 4:30 p.m. today for Southern Arizona participants in the annual Congressional Art Competition. The event is at the Tucson District Office at 738 N. 5th Ave.

The event will give all participants the chance to interact with Congressman Grijalva and see their entries displayed around the office. The Congressman will discuss the importance of funding for art programs in public schools and announce the winner of this year’s competition.

Representatives from Southwest Airlines will present the winner of the competition with two complimentary tickets to Washington, D.C., to see the winning artwork displayed in the Cannon House Office Building, where it will hang for the next year.
