TUCSON— Representative Raúl M. Grijalva designated Yuma County Library District as a Federal Depository Library in Arizona’s Third Congressional District. With this designation, the library will offer free access to a collection of government documents to the public free of charge.
“I applaud Yuma County Library District’s commitment to serve the people of this region and am confident they will be excellent stewards of this information,” said Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva. “I congratulate them on this honor and look forward to seeing this important public service offered to the people of Southwestern Arizona.”
Federal Depository Libraries play a critical role in providing important information from the federal government to the general public. Federal depository libraries and the use of their collections can be accessed by anyone and contain important information on careers, business opportunities, consumer information, health and nutrition, legal and regulatory information, demographics, and other subjects.
