TUCSON, Ariz. – Today, the Biden administration expanded affordable, quality health care coverage to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients. Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva (AZ-07) released the following statement:
“President Biden’s additional actions to expand health coverage for DACA recipients mark significant progress. His administration has opened more opportunities for tens of thousands of young people to improve their lives through access to affordable health care. I’ve long urged for these reforms in Congress and for past administrations to act, and President Biden has delivered. Illness does not discriminate on the basis of documentation or legal status. Access to timely health care is advantageous for those families and our communities as a whole.”
