WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva spoke on the House floor and demanded an end to the government shutdown. Now in its 21st day, furloughed federal employees and those working without pay will begin missing paychecks. In his floor speech, Rep. Grijalva highlighted the challenges faced by federal workers and their families during the shutdown, called for the closure of national parks to prevent accidents and damage, and highlighted how funding shortfalls are imperiling vital services across Indian Country.
