“When Congress returns from the holidays, we will be faced with two critical government funding deadlines. In the final weeks of session for the year, instead of passing government funding, resources for our southern border, or aid for Ukraine and Israel, the House Republican majority chose to move forward on a baseless, vengeance-driven impeachment inquiry. This is a pointless exercise, a waste of time, and all for Speaker Johnson and the MAGA-run House of Representatives to perform their political theater. The American people will see this for it is – a distraction from House Republicans’ failure to govern or deliver any progress for our nation.”
