WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Raúl M. Grijalva (AZ-07) issued a statement in response to the frivolous attempts to smear Rep. Adam Schiff (CA-30) for conducting his constitutional responsibility to provide Congressional oversight on the Trump presidency:

“As the American people face serious issues, the GOP are spending their time covering for former President Trump’s crimes. This resolution is nothing more than an absurd effort to punish Rep. Adam Schiff for his oversight efforts to hold Trump accountable for his actions during his presidency, including his attempt to overthrow our democracy. These attempts undermine our Constitution and set a dangerous precedent for the future of our country.”
