Rep. Grijalva Announces FY27 Community Project Funding Request Process for Southern Arizona

Wednesday, February 25, 2026

Washington, D.C. — Today, Representative Adelita S. Grijalva announced that her office is now accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2027 Community Project Funding (CPF) requests, a process that allows Members of Congress to submit up to 20 community-driven projects for consideration in the federal appropriations process.

Community Project Funding requests help direct federal resources to critical local priorities, including infrastructure improvements, public safety projects, environmental and water initiatives, economic development, and community facilities. Eligible applicants include state, local, and Tribal governments, as well as certain health related non-profits. Funding may not be directed to for-profit recipients.

The application period will remain open until Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM MST. Potential applicants should carefully review the eligibility requirements within each account before applying. For more information on how to apply, please visit Rep. Grijalva’s website

Each year, the process is highly competitive, and projects must meet all federal eligibility requirements. Following the submission deadline, Rep. Grijalva’s office will review proposals and select projects to advance for consideration by the House Appropriations Committee. Final funding decisions are subject to congressional approval and enactment of FY27 appropriations legislation.

“Community Project Funding is an important way of bringing federal resources directly to our communities,” said Rep. Grijalva. “I encourage eligible entities to apply so we can work together to secure investments that strengthen our infrastructure, support families, and expand opportunity across the district.”
