Yuma, Ariz.– Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva today announced a “job seekers boot camp” on Friday, Feb. 25th at YPIC Career Center in Somerton. The one-day workshop will give job seekers tools to increase their employability as the economy continues to rebound. Several of Southern Arizona’s most knowledgeable career counselors, HR managers and business leaders will be on hand to provide practical advice on resume improvement, interviewing and efficient job searching.
Rep. Grijalva will also host a “social media boot camp” on the same day at the Small Business Development Center in Yuma. Social media experts will help businesses navigate Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites to help stimulate job growth and visibility.
Congressman Grijalva will be at each event to give an update on his efforts to create jobs around the region and nationwide.
“Helping the people and the economy of Southern Arizona is about more than casting votes and promoting bills,” Grijalva said. “Giving practical assistance that working families can use in their everyday lives is crucial, and I’m happy to host both of these events to help Arizonans get the assistance they need. I look forward to speaking and answering questions people may have, and I encourage anyone interested in the job market to attend and learn all they can.”
Full information about both events is available below. Attendance is by reservation only.
