TUCSON—Today, Rep. Raul M. Grijalva announced the winners of the Congressional App Challenge for Arizona’s Third Congressional District. This year’s winners are Manuel Martinez Sanchez and Sean Cabahug from University High School in Tolleson, AZ. The winning app is called NearLink, an app that is designed to allow any electronic device to become a gaming controller.

“Each year, I’m blown away by the creativity and aptitude displayed by our students during the App Competition,” said Rep. Grijalva. “Manuel and Sean are well on their way to being the software developers of the future, and I’m proud that they will represent Arizona’s Third Congressional District with their app.”

NearLink will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building and featured on the House of Representatives website, House.gov.  The winning students will be invited to #HouseCode Capitol Hill Reception in Washington, D.C. and will also enjoy $250 in Amazon Web Service credits.
